Rashmi Sharma Productions, the renowned production house has two of their shows Saath Nibhana Saathiya on Star Plus and Sasural Simar Ka on Colors doing very well. Now, the maker is planning an interesting concept for Life OK. The show will be Mumbai based, and will have few fresh faces playing pivotal roles. Niharika Kareer, who was one of the faces of Splitsvilla 3, has been finalized to play the female lead on the show, is what we get to hear. Niharika has a Punjabi film Oye Hoye Pyar Ho Gaya to her credit. She has also appeared in Channel V’s The Buddy Project before. A well-placed source tells us, “Niharika will play the female protagonist while two new boys have been roped in to play the male leads. Rashmi Sharma has always made it mandatory to cast fresh faces as leads, so that the protagonists carry no baggage. Same will be the case with this show too. While the male leads are completely fresh, the female lead has done very less work.” To pack a punch in this inexperienced cast with his experience, talented and seasoned actor Mihir Mishra has been cast in a very pivotal role. The source further adds, “The lead cast has shot for the pilot of the show. The production house presently waits for the approval from the channel, post which the show will go on floor.” We tried contacting Niharika, but did not get through to her. When contacted, Mihir Mishra states, “I am certainly not getting what you are trying to say. I have not signed any new show at the moment.” We dropped a text message to Producer Rashmi Sharma, but did not get any revert.
