Yes, we are talking about the new detective Prerna Wanvari (Sunaina), coming on board to join hands with KD Pathak (Ronit Roy) in Sony Entertainment Television’s Adaalat (Contiloe Productions). Tellychakkar.com spoke to Prerna, who said that she was a great admirer of detective shows and has always watched them on TV. And the opportunity to act in one such show is really exciting. “It so happened that I was watching Dexter on TV when I got the offer. It will be a great experience to be a part of KD’s team in Adaalat.” Talking about her character, the beautiful actress averred, “Sunaina is smart and intelligent; she is classy and a no nonsense kind of a girl who always abides by the books. With most in her family being civil servants, she too wants to serve her country.” She further went on to add, “She is a well-educated detective and in the process of growing up, she came across KD’s talent and is thus in awe of him. She feels great to have finally got a chance to work with him.” When asked if there would be any kind of romance between her and her superior, she dismisses the thought by laughingly adding, “No no, nothing personal between them, she is only like a disciple of his.” Also in line will be the nok-jhok between her and Srman (Srman Jain), the other assistant of KD. “Sunaina doesn’t like this street smart tapori guy who she feels is down market and not suitable to be at par with her. She follows all legal procedures and hates it when Srman misuses the law.” The actress, who was earlier seen in daily shows like Bandini and Parichay, feels Adaalat will be her best chance to showcase her acting prowess further. Talking about her association with Ronit Roy, she quips, “I had started my career with Ronit da in Bandini; he has seen my growth as an actor and we share a great bond which will be visible on screen for sure.” The actor starts shooting next week and will be seen on the show from sometime in July.
