After being a part of shows like Afsar Bitiya and …Mahadev, the beautiful Tanya Sharma, who has just turned eighteen, is impressing audiences with her stint in Channel V’s It’s Complicated- Relationship Ka Naya Status (Sunshine Productions).

Talking about the show and her character, the pretty girl states, “I play Urvashi who is smart, intelligent and an independent girl who has a mind of her own. But what makes her different from today’s girls is that she hates men (laughs). And although I do not relate to the character entirely, I took this show as the role stands out from the other mainstream characters on TV these days.”

And how is it working with the team that is full of young people? “Well, it’s simply superb. We have an amazing time on the sets and all of us share a great bond with each other. But of course, the other two girls are my favourites and we indulge in a lot of chit chat when we are not shooting. Also I would like to mention that we have a great production house and Sudhir (Sharma) Sir is very warm and always ready to help. The entire team is very co-operative,” she avers.

Sharing more about her personal life, Tanya divulges, “I am currently pursuing my first year of college studying BMM (Bachelors for Mass Media) and would like to further take up Public Relations in my Masters. I am a dance enthusiast and love acting. I have grown up watching shows like Son Pari, Shararat and Shakalaka Boom Boom and had always wanted to be an actor. Thankfully, I am living my dreams (smiles)."

Today youth shows are making a mark in the world of television, what is your opinion on the same? “I believe that these kinds of shows have a huge influence on today’s youth and it can pose as a great inspiration to them; we can actually create awareness. Through our shows we ask youngsters to look into their matters and stand for their rights,” she answers.

Your character is one of the intellectual types who can brag about love. So what does this mean to you? “(Laughs) If you ask this to Urvashi, I am sure she can give you loads of details. As for me, love is to express oneself but romance definitely is a riddle. For me, going on a private yacht with someone with good music playing in the background and some amazing surprises in the kitty would be my ideal date.”

The girl who is receiving a good response for her show and character finally concludes, “All the positive reaction is making me work harder and I promise to give my best all along.”

We hope you achieve all your dreams Tanya!!!
