MUMBAI: Rajasthan Royals (RR) must bounce back quickly from their dramatic Super Over loss to Delhi Capitals as they gear up to face Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in a vital clash at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Saturday. The defeat marked RR’s third consecutive setback, further complicating their path to the IPL 2025 playoffs.

Currently eighth on the points table with only two victories at the halfway stage, RR needs to win six of their remaining seven matches to reach the crucial 16-point mark that typically secures a playoff spot. In contrast, LSG are in a more comfortable position, sitting fifth with eight points.
Although LSG fell short in their previous game at home against Chennai Super Kings, they’ve managed to win three of their last four matches and are looking strong.
RR skipper Sanju Samson, the franchise's most successful captain, is battling a rib injury sustained during his 31-run knock against DC and is in a race to be fit for this crucial fixture. The Royals also hope to register their first home win after being defeated by Royal Challengers Bengaluru last week, despite posting a respectable 173.
Probable XIs:
RR: Jaiswal, Samson (C/WK), Rana, Parag, Hetmyer, Jurel, Archer, Theekshana, Hasaranga, Sandeep, Deshpande, Dubey
LSG: Markram, Marsh, Pooran, Pant (C/WK), Badoni, Samad, Miller, Thakur, Bishnoi, Akash Deep, Avesh, Rathi
