MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Richa Chadha, Akshay Oberoi, and Tanuj Virwani in this exclusive interview with Tellychakkar.com talked about their upcoming web series Inside Edge Season 3. The trio spoke about the web series, alternative characters in which they will like to see their co-stars, and a lot more.  

Tell us about the 3rd season of Inside Edge

This season will revolve around the test series between India and Pakistan. There are some fictional characters and the rivalry between the two captains. This season is all about going backward and forward. We have shown a lot of match-fixing and spot-fixing in the past but this season we have shown what actually the sport is, it’s not just about cricket anymore.

Tanuj Virawani on working with Akshay Oberoi

Tanuj said, we have a lot of fun together. We first met on the sets of Inside Edge. For me, it was like love at first sight. I have made lots of friends while shooting for the web series but Akshay Oberoi and I have a different level of the equation which is we both don’t take each other so seriously and then in the next 5 seconds you will find us having a serious conversation.

Akshay Oberoi added, Tanuj was on the show from the first season. When I entered the show he always wanted me to succeed. He knew that I never played cricket but he helped me a lot during the shoot.

If you could choose alternative characters for your co-stars, what will it be?    

Akshay – I want Tanuj and Richa to play comedy characters. They both are funny people. And I feel that they both have not explored much in the comedy genre. 

Tanuj-  I want Richa to play the character of Jennifer Lawrence from Silver Lining Playbook. She will be fantastic in that character because she is a very versatile actor. And for Akshay, I would want him to play a character like James Franco from the film Pineapple Express.

Richa had more specific roles for both of them. If she ever gets the chance to cast both of them. She would like to see Tanuj in a very calm character of Yoga Master whereas for Akshay she wants to see him in a malnourished construction worker character.
