'Nutcracker...' role personifies femininity: Kiera Knightley

Actress Kiera Knightley says her role as Sugar Plum in The Nutcracker and the Four Realms is the personification of femininity.

Inspired by both ETA Hoffmann's classic story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King and Alexandre Dumas' retelling in the 1892 Tchaikovsky ballet The Nutcracker, the film is directed by Lasse Hallstrom and Joe Johnston.

"Sugar Plum is the personification of femininity," Knightley said.

"I like to do a lot of research, so I started with the actual music of the Sugar Plum Fairy, which led to her laugh. I later found her high-pitched, girly voice that has two sides to it: pristine femininity and at the same time, quite assertive," she added.

The Disney film follows life of a girl named Clara who is tasked by her parents with taking care of a toy Nutcracker doll, which comes to life and defeats an evil Mouse King with seven heads.

It will release in India along with the world on 2 November.

Matt Willis hated wedding photographs

Singer Matt Willis has burned his old wedding photographs because he was "massive and bloated" from addiction on his special day.

"I was a massive, bloated, wreck-head. A sweaty, chubby, d**khead... I looked terrible. I've burnt the other ones. I looked like a competition winner stood next to Emma Willis," Willis told media publications.

In July, Willis, 35, and his wife presenter Emma marked their tenth wedding anniversary with a vow renewal ceremony. The "What I Go To School For" hitmaker said he agreed to the celebration so he finally had some nice photographs of himself next to the 42-year-old beauty in her bridal wear.

He said, "I redeemed myself. If I'm honest, that's why I said yes to the whole idea. I needed a good picture of me and Emma in that wedding dress, because she looks amazing."

Though the couple loved their vow renewal ceremony, Willis recently said he and his wife were also "a bit embarrassed" because they worried their celebration was "a bit cheesy".

"It was an amazing day. Although, I'll be honest, we were a little embarrassed at the time, it was one of those ideas where we thought it would be cool but when we got to it then it seemed a bit cheesy and awful and we felt a bit embarrassed."

Butler action guy who makes it all happen: 'Hunter Killer' director

Actor Gerard Butler acts like a commander on the set while working on a film, says director Donovan Marsh.

Marsh worked with Butler in submarine thriller Hunter Killer.

"He's still the action guy who makes it all happen, but he does it from a position of authority rather than being the guy out there pulling the trigger," Marsh said in a statement.

"It required Gerry to contain his performance in a different way, which he did absolutely beautifully. He invested himself so strongly, that you would regularly see 20 or 30 actors on set responding to him like a real commander. You believed him that much," he added.

Hunter Killer is adapted from Don Keith and George Wallace's 2012 novel Firing Point. Butler plays a submarine captain on a mission to rescue the Russian president and avoid World War 3 by firing torpedoes at everything in sight.

Brought to India by PVR Pictures and MVP Entertainment, it released in India on Friday.

Black Eyed Peas release their seventh album

American group Black Eyed Peas, consisting of will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo, have released their seventh album, Masters of The Sun Vol. 1.

Produced by will.i.am, the album is the Grammy-winning group's first in eight years and features rappers Nas, Phife Dawg and Ali Shaheed Muhammad, K-Pop star CL, rapper Slick Rick, singer Nicole Scherzinger, and rapper Posdnuos, read a statement.

The album also comes with the release of a new video for Dopeness feat. CL.

Masters of The Sun Vol. 1 is a hip-hop master-class. It marks the group's much-needed message in today's socio-political climate, positioning themselves as agents for change against urgent issues affecting communities of colour such as gun control, immigration reform, prison reform and police brutality.
