MUMBAI: As TellyChakkar.com wraps up the day, we’ve come across some sad news.

Veteran Bollywood actor Sayed Ishtiyak Ahmed Jafri popularly known as Jagdeep passed away at the age of 81. Reports suggest that Jagdeep breathed his last this evening around 8:40pm.

A source related to the family has disclosed that the last rites of the actor will be performed tomorrow at Shia Kabrastan, Mazagaon.

Jagdeep was a part of several big Bollywood films. He rose to fame with his stint as Soorma Bhopali in yesteryears blockbuster Sholay. He is also known for his stints in movies like Andaz Apna Apna, Brahmachari, Naagin among several others.

Jagdeep’s sons Jaaved and Naaved Jaffrey are also a known name in the showbiz while his grandson Meezan is also on the road to make it big in Bollywood.
