MUMBAI : Parineeti Chopra is one of the most talented actresses in the Indian film industry. Her films like Kesari, Hasee Toh Phasee, Saina and many more have made a strong mark in the hearts and minds of her fans. The actress who was recently seen in Chamkila with Diljit Dosanjh is being praised for the portrayal of Amarjot in the film.

Parineeti revealed that she gained a lot of weight for her role. She said she gained 16-20kgs for her role, however there is a clip where Imtiaz reveals that he needed Parineeti to gain 6-7 kgs for the film. Meanwhile in a lot of interviews, Parineeti has been saying that she did not put makeup in the film, looked her worst, etc, where netizens slammed the actress for insulting Amarjot.

One netizen said, “She's insulting Amarjot Kaur in every single interview by saying things like, "I look like my worst." Ffs Parineeti, please stop dragging down someone else to justify your weight gain and feel good about yourself," 

Another netizen commented, “"Why is she unnecessarily trying to justify her weight gain by making the character sound unappealing?! She’s definitely unhappy with the way she currently looks and to make herself feel better she’s making up these reasons as though her weight gain wasn’t her fault. Downright insulting and immature of her.”
