MUMBAI: KGF Chapter 2 is an upcoming film directed by Prashanth Neel. It is a sequel to KGF: Chapter 1 which was released in 2018. The upcoming film stars Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt and Saran Shakthi. Recently, the makers revealed the first look poster of the character Adheera, confirming the speculations that Sanjay Dutt will be playing the role. However, according to the latest reports, the shooting for the film has been stopped following court orders.

According to a report in The Week, a local resident alleged that the shooting of the movie was causing environmental damage at cyanide hills in Kolar Fields in Kolar district. Following this, the shooting of the film had to be halted due to an interim order by the second additional civil and JMFC court in Kolar Gold Fields.  The film was being shot at Cyanide hills, which is a famous shoot location due to its landscape. The hearing on this matter is scheduled for 23 September.
