MUMBAI: Student of the Year by Karan Johar was one of the biggest hits of the year. The film marked not one but three debuts; Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan and recently completed 11 years. The trio went on to share a great bond thereafter. Earlier, Alia recalls what she thought of her first co-stars Varun and Sidharth.

Recalling how Varun and Sidharth were, Alia said, “I thought Varun had too much of an attitude. Also, we both came from rival schools. As for Sidharth, he kept to himself. But as and when I got to know them, it was fun and we really had a fun time shooting.”

Sidharth and Varun meanwhile knew each other from before as they had worked as assistant directors for the Shah Rukh Khan Starrer My Name Is Khan. 

On the occasion of completing 11 years, Dharma Productions shared a glimpse of the film on social media and wrote, “The one competition they ALL won was the one of your hearts…11 years ago!”

Alia was recently seen in Karan’s directorial Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani with Ranveer Singh. Some of the comments that read included, “The one where it all started,” “Reunion is needed!!,” “How time flies so fast” and “Still feels Goosebumps”  She is also riding high as she was awarded the Best Actress National Award.
