MUMBAI: Recently, rumours of Vijay Varma and Tamannaah Bhatia dating have been doing the rounds and grabbing everyone’s attention. They were spotted vacationing together in Goa over the new year’s, and have ever since been speculated to be in a relationship together, even being spotted together in the city frequently. Some reports also say that they left together after attending an event as guests. Finally, Vijay has spoken up and addressed the rumours with a humorous tweet.

According to reports by a news portal, Vijay Varma and Tamannaah Bhatia had met on the 17th of January for a lunch date. However, Vijay has denied the rumours. In response to the allegations, he shared a picture of who his actual lunch date was. It turns out that it was ‘Devotion of Suspect X’ and ‘Lust Stories 2’ director, Sujoy Ghosh. Vijay Varma tweeted the photo and wrote, “My lunch date†@sujoy_g”. The picture shows Vijay pointing at the director while posing for the mirror selfie. Check out the picture here:

Fans laughed on seeing his post. One netizen wrote, “So you are basically saying that you and Ghosh Babu are ‘just good friends’? Btw, why does he look as if he has been taken hostage?” One tweet read, “Savage”. Another user said, “The rumour one was the better option.”

According to reports, the two have exchanged pleasant banter before while attending a movie screening, and even in another public event. Around new year, the two were seen spending time in Goa for work commitments. And now, it is speculated that Tamannaah has joined the cast of Sujoy Ghosh’s Lust Stories 2, which also stars Vijay in it.

However, sources say that they aren’t planning to take their friendship to the next level immediately.
