Zee TV’s Star Ya Rockstar grand finale on 10 December is going to have a surprise guest: Dhanush. Dhanush who? Well, if you don’t know the name, he is southern superstar Rajnikanth’s son-in-law. More than that, he is the artiste behind that internet super hit song Why this Kolaveri Di from the Tamil film 3 which stars him and Shruti Hassan. The song has become all the rage thanks to internet surfers who have all loved it and have made it successful virally. Dhanush’s Star Ya Rockstar appearance will mark the first time he will be appearing on a Hindi general entertainment channel. Accompanying him will be the song’s composer Anirudh Ravichander. The duo is slated to perform Why this Kolaveri Di and will jam with the finalists, including Sachin Pilgaonkar, Manasi Parekh and Kapil Sharma. The Star Ya Rockstar finale is expected to be different because each of the finalists will be paired up for a duet performance with other celebrity professional singers.
