It is ecstatic and beyond money, fame, glamour or any other sense of accomplishment,” shared Kiran Janjani when asked on how he felt after becoming a proud father of a cute little baby girl on 15 February 2012. Kiran, a veteran actor who has featured in any Bollywood flicks, got married when he was 32 to his belle Ritu. At the time of entering wedlock, Ritu was right years younger than him. “Ritu was pretty young and she wanted to travel and experiment in life. So together, we planned our life and after eight years of marriage, finally had our first kid,” Kiran went on to say. So how has the overall experience of fatherhood been? “Quite exhausting. People have kids and you congratulate them. But when you have a baby you understand what goes into it. When your wife is seven or eight months pregnant, you have to take care of her. All those dietary charts, walks, cravings and everything. But the exhaustion vanishes when you see the child and take it in your hands. It feels amazing.” So were you there in the labour room? “Absolutely. I was there from 2.30pm in the afternoon till 3.13am the next morning. I was running like a crazy person in the hospital. I saw my wife in pain and I though why does she have to go through all this? Why has nature made things so difficult? But as I said, all the pain is worth it for someone who is a part of you.” Kiran further informed us that he is yet to name the child-as he will do it as per the guidance of a numerologist –but he calls her lovingly with many names like, roli, poli, goli, baby, etc etc. “We will soon zero in on the name. I have suggested Samaira,” he smiled. So will he be a strict dad? “Not at all. But I and Ritu have decided not to allow her to enter the glam world. She can if she ants, but we will tell her to pursue other interests. Furthermore, I will be a typical dad and send her for music classes, swimming sessions, dance classes and everything. I want to make her an all rounder. Only education does not help, overall growth is essential,” he ended. Tellychakkar.com congratulates Kiran and Ritu and wishes them a life replete with happiness, contentment and absolute bliss.
