Life is getting hectic for Barkha Bisht these days. This sassy and leggy actor who is shooting for Aroona Irani's Doli Sajake Rakhna (still has to go on air) is simultaneously hosting PopKorn Newz on Zoom. Till the latter was also co-hosted by Shama Sikandar (of Yeh Meri Life Hai fame), life was a cakewalk. But now Shama's association with the show has ended and it's Barkha who has taken up the show wholly. Now this two timing on television has turned a big deal for Barkha as she has realized. When contacted the actor says, "My working hours are really long these days. I have to shoot for Doli…. and also host PopKorn…. Now it's a 30 day shooting schedule for me. We are still deciding on the other anchor and nothing has materialized so far." Shama on her part maintains that she shot for a few weeks for PopKorn… but later decided to discontinue. She adds, "I used to shoot for PopKorn and it was a fifteen day affair. Now, I am no longer doing it and am waiting for some projects to take off in the coming weeks." Here's what the production head of Optimistix, Sanjiv Sharma, has to say, "Barkha is doing the show all alone at the moment and the response has been really great so far. Shama's association with the show was brief and it ended in an amicable way. We have a policy of experimenting with new anchors and right now Barkha is doing a great job as a host." Barkha, instead of cribbing for those extra hours you put in these days, why not enjoy the recognition being showered at you for doing so!
