Well, the reports said the singer was battling his illness for quite a long time and now, the news has been confirmed by different people from the singing industry.

Singer Anup Jalota disclosed that the Ghazal star was battling cancer before his death, despite the family's claim that he passed away from a protracted illness. Anup said in a recent interview that Pankaj had been receiving treatment for pancreatic cancer for the previous two to three months.

Over the years, Anupam Kher has appeared in a staggering 540 films across various languages, showcasing his versatility and talent.

Numerous honors were conferred upon him, such as a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, two Academy, two Grammy, six National Film Awards, and many more. His life and music have been influenced by his spiritual and religious convictions, which are likewise well-known.
