The cast of Hema Malini Productions' Maati Ki Banno recently shot a new promo which is likely to air in the next couple of days. Meanwhile, a few new actors who have just joined the show are Nishigandha Wad, Akshay Verma and Shiraz Mustafa. A source says, "Nishigandha plays mother of Manoj Chandila who plays the lead in the show. Raj Premi plays his father. Shiraz will play Manoj’s elder brother while Akshay Verma portrays the role of Raj Premi's trusted partner. We recently shot new promos which will show Manoj's character in a different light. It is a very nice promo; however we are not sure whether the channel will flash a definite launch date and time of the show in the same promo. We have heard it will mostly get the 7 pm slot and may launch on December 20. But the channel will take the final decision.” Manoj confirmed shooting the new promo but refused to divulge further details about it. Akshay has done a few movies in the past while Shiraz is a relatively fresh face. Nishigandha was last seen in Chehra on Star Plus.
