Sony Pal’s Singhasan Battisi, produced by Creative Eye will have Siddharth Arora playing the role of Raja Bhoj and Karan Suchak essaying the role of the mighty King Vikramaditya. We now hear that the role of Raja Bhoj’s wife Vallari will be played by noted actress Cheshta Mehta. Cheshta has done shows like Chhanchhan, Baawre and is presently seen in Devon Ke Dev.. Mahadev as Prithvi Devi. In Singhasan Battisi, she will essay the Queen of Raja Bhoj who is a confident and smart lady who would have the capability of keeping the people in her kingdom happy even in the absence of the king Bhoj. The lady would be well-equipped in horse riding and fighting and would have all the qualities of a warrior. When contacted, Cheshta who has also been seen in many episodics of Savdhan India said, “Yes, I play the wife of Raja Bhoj in Singhasan Battisi. I should say, it is a great role to play; after all I am playing a queen (smiles). I have been given great costumes, lot of accessories to wear in the form of jewelry. I am excited about the role, and I am looking forward to the channel’s launch.” Cheshta is presently shooting for both Singhasan Battisi and Mahadev. “Yes, there are days when I enter the get-up of Prithvi in the morning, and then go on to don the avatar of Vallari by evening. It is a tough ask, considering the fact that both are mythological/ historical shows, and I need to wear a lot of accessories for both the roles. Having said this, I am enjoying work right now.” As reported, Sayantani Ghosh will essay the role of Maha Maya, the supreme power guarding the throne of King Vikramaditya. Navina Bole and Aditi Sajwan will be part of the 32 angels guarding the throne. We wish Cheshta all the very best!!
