By now all of us know that Hrithik Roshan is a ‘goodwill ambassador’ of the reality show Junoon on NDTV Imagine. Though ofcourse most of us are flummoxed by this new trend of having a ‘goodwill ambassador’ on a reality show. To understand what the superstar’s role play is we spoke to a few people.
And these sources informed us that Hrithik is a sutradhar on the show.
“He will not be promoting but supporting the show. He’ll be giving the audience deep knowledge about the format along side he will also be boosting the morale of the participants,” says the source.
“Hrithik will not be there for all the episodes but when there will be a high point in the episodes Hrithik will make his presence felt. The channel and the production house are still planning on how to develop his role in the show.”
Announcing Hrithik’s association with the show, Shailja Kejriwal, EVP Content, NDTV Imagine said, “This is the first time that a channel has associated with a celebrity at this level. Hrithik’s role is very unique – he is not a host, judge or performer. He is here to lend his support to the participants.”
Extending his support to the participants, Hrithik Roshan said, “I can identify with the participants and their desire to achieve success with their god-given talent. I relate to their positive and exuberant spirit because I believe that I have a similar Junoon - be it my work or my personal life.”
Call it goodwill ambassador or sutradhar one thing is sure Hrithik will surely roshan the show with his presence.
