This week on BIG CBS PRIME’s India’s Prime Icon, a show in which India chooses its true icons, the top 3 icons will be declared. After a tumultuous journey thus far, Bachchan has been pitted against Gujarat CM Narendra Modi and Sachin Tendulkar to battle it out as the top 3 contenders.
Bachchan and Aamir have always been in admiration of each other’s personalities, work ethic and abilities. While the senior actor has shown great appreciation of Aamir’s work, the latter too has been very open about the respect he holds for the enigmatic superstar.
When asked about the original Don of Bollywood, Aamir commented, “I don’t even feel I am on the same platform as him, I am not even anywhere close. I can’t compete with him because I hold him in such high esteem.”
With India’s Prime Icon fast approaching its finale, it remains to be seen whether Aamir’s icon will be the one who will walk away with the prestigious title.
