Chhavi Mittal has been eliminated from Sahara One's Jjhoom India. Chhavi went through trying times in the last couple of episodes. The jury was of the view that she was not putting in her best and that her performance lacked soul.

In the previous episode Mahesh Bhatt, one of the three judges, told her that her knowledge in music is coming in the way of her performances. Chhavi disagrees to this saying, "I have learnt music in my childhood but I quit singing ten years back. It is taking me the same effort to learn what my mentors or teachers are teaching. If I were so knowledgeable, then I should know where I've erred. But I have no clue of it."

She adds, "I don't deserve to be evicted. I really think the judges came hard on me. They were lenient to other contestants but they were very harsh on me."

It is reported that judges have been appreciating the effort put in by other jodis to sing difficult songs while they have been constantly telling Chhavi not to take up difficult songs. She felt that her efforts were going in vain and the judges' comment didn't help her either. "I really don't understand the judges and their comments. What they expected from me was completely different to their aspirations from the others. Their comments just gave a reason to the other contestants to vote me out."

Apparently Mahesh Bhatt, who was very critical of her performance, later told her that his wife and daughter did not appreciate the way he passed comments on her. In fact, Mrs.Bhatt was moved by Chhavi's singing and even voted for her.

"When fellow contestant Varun Badola voted for Shekhar Suman over me Mahesh ji said that even my worst performance is miles ahead of Shekhar's best. But I really don't know what went wrong", said the bemused actress.

Chhavi also expressed her displeasure saying judges have never spoken about her range, voice, hard work and her improvement but have always pointed fingers at her of not being able to sing soulfully.

We just hope it is not yet another case of sour grapes.
