The young and talented Uttarakhand-based Pawandeep Rajan was announced as the winner of singing reality show ‘The Voice India’ based on votes from audiences across India on Sunday (30 August).

We chatted with Pawandeep, who spoke about his journey and revealed many of his dreams.

Panwandeep shared, “The show is a huge platform and I feel overjoyed with this win. I feel extremely humbled with all the love and appreciation received from the audience across the country. I would first and foremost like to thank coach Shaan who thought I was good enough to make the cut and mentored me wholeheartedly. The show taught me a lot of things. This win is like a dream come true for me.”

So, what would you do with the winning amount? He quipped, “Well now, I have lot to do for my family. I will gift the car that I have received, to my mother. Apart from that I am going to buy a piano for my father as he is also a folk singer.”

Would you like to sing for any Bollywood hero? “If given a chance I would definitely love to sing for Bollywood movies. But there is no particular actor for which I wish to sing. I would never lose such opportunity,” ended the winner.
