"Kaajal's potential is unexploited!"

Apurva 'Arman' Agnihtori, who plays the egoistic self-centered Dev in SET's Kaajjal is not too happy the way his show is shaping up. "Don't get me wrong, I like the way present status of the show, but I also feel that we have lots of potential, both in term of creativity and TRPs, which unfortunately are not being exploited correctly," confesses Apurva.

The good-looking actor who recently co-anchored Nach Baliye 2 with wifey Shilpa Shaklani, further refused to speculate where the story line will proceed by commenting, "Nobody knows where TV scripts head. It can be the run-of-the-mill generation leaps, dead men rising form the grave….your guess is as good as mine! As far as this show is concerned, to spice up the track, we have got Bollywood singer Abhijeet crooning for Kaajjal's birthday episode, which will be aired soon." (What variety we say!!!) The show which began as a love / hate story between a brash Apurva (Dev) and a simple Kaajjal ( Surveen Chawala), is developing into a love triangle with the recent introduction of Chetan Hansraj (Dhruv). So is the new guy's presence making Apurva insecure even in real??? Touted as a non-media savvy actor, he takes full opportunity of this tete-a-tete to indulge in image building. "People have this misconception that as I'm a brat as I get offered roles like Armaan and Dev. But I have no regrets as I am what I am thanks to Jassi…." And now he drops a hint for seekers of new shows. "I don't mind doing reality shows but unfortunately the current brands don't seem real. I was offered Bigg Boss, but dwelling 24/7 in a make belief environment just does not click. If there comes a show where I have to scale Mt. Everest, I'm game." For an actor who debuted in films under the Subhash Ghai banner for Pardes, a discussion on Bollywood can't be left out. "I want to go back to the big screen, but this time as a director. I would love to tell a tale, but not on TV. Here unfortunately the director and the writers, who are the crucial pillars of a show aren't given their dues".
