Karan Mehra could soon land himself a lifeguard’s job. Not long ago, he had saved Rashmi Desai from a fire on the sets of Pari Hoon Main. Karan emerged a saviour again and this time it is actress Krutika Desai who is singing praises of the Saas vs Bahu host. Talking about the incident, Krutika says, “I’d finished my performance and the judges awarded me 30 marks. I was really tired and wanted to quickly head to my seat. But the judges kept showering praises on me. While it was a bit overwhelming, I was also feeling a little embarrassed. Finally, when the judges were done, I was heading to my seat when Karan pulled me back and peppered me with a few questions. It was then that a light fell on my chair. Well, I thanked Karan for saving my life.” A modest Karan though had this to say, “I did not save her life. It was just a coincidence that I interrupted her when she was heading towards her seat. There was no heroism involved here.” But is it just a coincidence that he once again happens to avert a mishap? Karan replies, “Well, where I go these things are following me. In fact, last time, a light fell on my back. Main jahan jaa raha hoon wahan bijli gira raha hoon. From hereon, I shall first look at the lights when stepping on to the stage.”
