Garima Productions’ Lapataganj on SAB TV is loved by the masses of not only in this country but across the globe. The show recently introduced a new Muslim family to spread the idea of secularism. In the upcoming sequence, Indumati Gupta (Sucheta Khanna) will gift Mukundi Lal (Rohitash Gaud) a scooter after getting inspired by watching Hindi movies. Indumati will be of the opinion that life will be more cool and urban with the scooter coming in. Basically, Lapataganj vasis will opt for modernization. Furthermore, Abbas Khan will be seen in a double role. He will be seen as Biji Pandey and his brother, Eiji Pandey, who will come down from Mumbai. When contacted Rohitash Gaud he confirmed the news and said, “Yes, we are getting a bit modernized and Abbas will play a double role.” This particular episode will go on air from tonight (9 July 2012).
