Maria Wasti, a popular actor from Pakistan, may soon be adding her name to the list of Pakistani stars like Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan and Mawra Hocane who have joined Bollywood. Maria has been repeatedly spotted with Naseeruddin Shah and she uploaded a picture on a social networking site with the Bollywood legend and captioned the photograph with #filmshoot and #Indiancinema.

Though Maria hasn’t given any official confirmation yet, a source close to her stated that she is finally ready and game to take up projects in India. If the buzz is to be believed, Maria will soon be seen on the silver screen and will hopefully soon create a niche for herself in Bollywood. This is also great news for the young actress’s Indian fans who are currently following her latest drama Malika-e-Aliya which airs on Zindagi, every Monday to Saturday at 9.40 pm.

Malika-e-Aliya is the story of a middle-class girl, Malika, whose dreams are very big and will go to any length to achieve her desires. Maria, the protagonist of the show, is bestowed with the title of Malika-e-Aliya by her mother. Malika is unlike other girls and has unique desires. She doesn’t dream of getting married to a prince but all she cares about is how wealthy her in-laws would be. She makes Mr. Baig believe that she is the perfect girl with virtues and an ideal match for his son Furquan. There begins her journey of trials and manipulations as she always turns the tide in her favour to fulfil her dreams.
