Tassnim Sheikh, who plays the charming yet manipulating bahu in the Virani household, has allegedly fallen prey to an obsessive fan. The mystery caller, who calls himself her fan and admirer, has been making life miserable through weird text messages, claims Tassnim, who recently re-entered Kumkum as Renuka.
This is not the first time that the actress has gone through this kind of an ordeal. One and a half years ago too, a fan had tried to harass her in a similar fashion and had relented when Tassnim threatened to call in the cops.
"I don't want to file an FIR, because I know that the guy will get into trouble. I don't want to cause problems for him. I will take legal steps only if he does not stop now," sighs Tassnim, who has been getting the text messages for the last 15 days.
Tassnim says her executive producer on Kyunki…has been calling up the guy and trying to reason with him.
The messages have stopped for the time being, but these things in between shots tend to upset the actress. "I get very hyper, but thanks to my costars and the crew of my shows, I have managed. He sms'ed me by referring to me as Mohini, and so I have approached the EP of Kyunki… to do the needful," says Tassnim.
In recent times, Tassnim is one of the many actresses who have been victimised by cell phone toting fans. Rajeshwari Sachdeva, Smriti Irani, Nausheen Ali Sardar, Moulli Ganguly, Mona Singh and filmstars likeMallika Sherawat, Kareena and Shahid Kapoor…the list is endless.
Meanwhile, the actress is busy playing Mohini in Kyunki…and Renuka in Kumkum. Both adulation and appreciation has come her way through these roles and these are distractions that she can do without.
