Actor Nikhil Sharma is lovingly called ‘Babaji’ by his friends and well-wishers… And that’s not at all related to the man being extremely religious or pious.

Well, Nikhil who is presently essaying the role of Saurabh in Star Plus’ Suhani Si Ek Ladki finds an uncanny way to explore himself as a person!! Nikhil was also seen in &TV’s Badii Devrani till recently.

We hear from his friends that Nikhil when free from shoot and his hectic schedules does not take out like other actors for a party or a hangout. Instead, he usually plans to go to a unique place so that he can merge well with nature.

When contacted, Nikhil accepted that he chooses a mountain or a dense forest for recreation. “The first and last thing in my mind during breaks is to go to some remote place and connect with nature. I feel blessed to be amidst Gurujis and learned saints. So I make it a point to accompany a groug of saints to such unique places. Recently, I was out to a guru’s ashram and stayed there without any single connection to the outer world for many days. Yes, for this reason, my friends call me ‘Babaji’.”

Talking further, he stated, “I simply don’t believe in any kind of religion which is made by man. I do these things to explore myself and to know the real ‘Me’. I just believe in one religion which is unconditional love and freedom.”
