The actor cum producer always wanted to try his hand at direction and with Meri Doli Tere Angana it seems his wish has been fulfilled. He directed one song sequence for the same show. This handsome hunk is also producing a show for national broadcaster Doordarshan - Chukar Mere Man Ko. Says Rahul, of the song sequence he directed, "It was a special shoot for a song sequence and I was not happy with the way it was shot earlier. I'm very particular about the things I do, thus have to take the director's seat to make that song come alive. I have shot this song in a filmi manner and fortunately it turned out to be good." Are you planning to get into direction after acting and producing? "No it's not that. Acting will always remain my first passion. The world may have seen me as an actor but I thing I've still a long way to go. I have to chase my acting dreams but yes, now I'm a little confident about direction too. I have a script ready for a movie. Let's see what's next. To start off, I'll take direction from movies," he quips. When are we going to see you as an actor again? "There are a couples of flicks in negotiation. Maybe by next month we'll make an official announcement. I think 2008 should serve as a great and lucky year for me." Well hope this actor is able to catch hold of his dream. We wish him luck!
