Last week’s elimination episode of Ek Main Aur Ek Tu had ended with jubilation and suspense. It was jubilation for Sinchan and Irfan for being vetoed back in by the judges after being voted out by the viewers. But, this was also a week of suspense as India voted again, only this time to decide if the judges should have an additional veto power. India has decided on this issue and given the judges their second veto vote, their last on the series.

Although many participating jodis felt that the veto was used in haste for Sinchan/Irfan and should have instead been used for Niladri and Vinita, the judges stood by their decision. Thankful for the second veto power Leslie said, “The first veto power was used for that day’s performance and there were no pre-conceived notions on our part as that would hamper our judging abilities.”

“Our marking was solely performance oriented. And, that’s how fair we are going to be till the very last round,” said Hariharan.

Producer, director Gajendrra said, “Initially, the format had just one vote for judges to use. Audience participation drives a reality show and we have to respect their choice in giving the judges another crucial veto vote. As the competition hots up with each jodi outperforming the others every week, this second veto could change the fate of any one jodi completely.”
