Actor turned director Kabir Sadanand will soon be producing a show for Channel V, tentatively titled Ek Din. The finite series will be a thriller drama with lot many engrossing twists woven in the tale. The show will revolve around a brother and sister and their devious ploys. Playing the central role of the female lead will be beautiful and elegant Shivani Tomar, who was seen in Balaji Telefilms’ popular show Pavitra Rishta. For the uninitiated, Shivani was finalized to play the lead role in Shashi-Sumeet Productions’ Mere Nikhatthu for Star Plus. But a last minute change was made with Sonia Balani replacing her. Now, Shivani will be seen in a never-done-before character, that of a typical tom boy who would not fear anything. Earlier, actress Shivshakti Sachdev was almost finalized for the lead role, but eventually the role has now gone to Shivani. Giving her company as her partner in crime will be her on-screen brother essayed by Nitin Chauhan. Nitin has been the winner of Dadagiri Season 2 on Bindass, and was also a contestant of MTV Splitsvilla 5. Now, moving to the male protagonist, Kabir will introduce a fresh face to TV in actor Sagar Shetty. Kabir as we know, has acted in shows like Shagun, Dhadkan, Viraasat, Kumkum, Mujhse Kuch Kehti…Yeh Khamoshiyaan. He has directed few movies including the popular flick Fugly. When contacted, Producer Kabir Sadanand refused to comment. We tried calling Shivani, but could not get through to her. We tried getting some clarity from the channel spokesperson, but did not get any revert till the time we filed the story. We hear that the promo for the show has already been shot, and will go on air in the next few days. The show is expected to launch early December.
