First, the axe has fallen on Aroona Irani's Zameen Se Aasman Tak. The lady has shot for about 170 episodes till date, but the channel has informed her that they do not wish to continue the serial beyond 150 episodes. What an abrupt end!

Irani who also lost Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand on Star Plus to a rival production house sometime back, is going around saying that she has suffered a loss of over Rs 40 lakh this time. One wonders whether Irani's loss includes the payment which she'll make to her actors who relentlessly toiled till 170 episodes. If that is the case, it appears that Sahara will not pay her for the extra 20-odd episodes she has canned. Else the actors will suffer.

Also, it's curtains for Arun Frank's Zindagi Teri Meri Kahani as well. We hear, that Sahara suddenly told Frank to wind it up. Obviously, the finale will not be as logical as Frank would have wanted it to be. The shooting has stopped. They have a bank of about 30 episodes which will be telecast, sorry, dragged. Is Frank sulking? We really don't know because, we hear, he has been offered another serial by Sahara, which will be produced by film actress- turned- politician Jaya Prada.

Whassup Sahara?
