MUMBAI: Lock Upp is all set to premiere on February 27.

And it's only a matter of time till the viewers get to see Kangana Ranaut in action along with the controversial contestants who have been roped in for this one. The trailer and the posters of the show may remind one of Bigg Boss but at a press conference in Delhi, Ekta begged to differ. While the concept of the show has largely been kept under wraps, there'll be 16 contestants who will locked up in jail with Kangana overlooking their affairs. The task-based show is all set to go Live 24*7 on MX Player and Ekta's digital platform.

When ETimes TV asked her about comparisons with Salman Khan's reality show that are bound to happen, Ekta said, "All captive realities all over the world get compared with each other and this is a captive reality. It's like saying did you ever get scared because one soap opera got compared with the other. There'll be 10 shows, we will see them as same stories. But they have all worked on their own differences."

She further added, "There is going to be constant comparison. People will say stuff. But captive reality and original captive reality will also have its differences. Aap dekhiye kitna alag hoga."
