I am proud to be called the baddie of Bollywood: Gulshan Grover

Gulshan Grover talks about his web feature film going international... Bollywood’s baddie Gulshan Grover, who has played the key role in VOOT’s web film Badman, is quite elated and excited about the popularity of the movie soaring high. Badman is getting filmed at the prestigious International Film Festival in Moscow and London and naturally he is happy about this development. In a candid conversation with Tellychakkar.com, Gulshan talked about his experience of being a part of the movie and his feelings about the success of the same. Read on – The actor said, “My experience of entering the digital space for Badman has been tremendous. When I heard the idea for the first time, there was a thought in my mind that where would a film like this position itself in terms of viewers’ choice! I saw the vision of the masterminds behind the movie who took things forward very enthusiastically. It’s India’s first mockumentary feature film where all the characters are playing themselves.” Speaking about his dilemma about the film, he shared, “While doing the movie, my mind was confused about the fact that whether the audience will think it to be real or understand that the story has been created keeping the real relationships in mind. The characters and the relationships are real but the scenes have been created for the progress of the story. It’s the first feature film made for the web audience. The film is meant to be watched on phone or iPad.” “And now that it has reached the most prestigious film festival in Moscow, I am quite excited about it. It’s going to be the opening film at the festival and I am feeling very happy about it,” he added excitedly. As all the film buffs would know that Gulshan is also known as the ‘Bad Man’ of Bollywood for his portrayal of negative shades, we asked him to share his comment on it. He said, “I am proud to be called as the baddie of Bollywood. I have played all my parts with a lot of sincerity and people have been appreciative about my work.” “Many people used to tell me that I may not get positive roles to play but I feel that only weak actors worry about such things. I am hard working, sincere and a trained actor. I don’t need to worry about anything else,” he signed off. Good luck, Gulshan!
