Actress Nikunj Malik who came to the spotlight as one of the contestants on the Swayamvar show on Imagine, Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega will don a mythological avatar for the first time in her career. She has been roped in to play one of the 32 putlis (angels) in Sony PAL’s Singhasan Battisi, produced by Creative Eye Limited. She would eventually stop Raja Bhoj (Siddharth Arora) from ascending the throne of King Vikramaditya (Karan Suchak) and throw a challenge at him and narrate a tale of Vikramaditya’s valour too. Nikunj has earlier done shows like Geet Hui Sabse Parayi, Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai and Anil Kapoor’s 24. In Singhasan Battisi, Nikunj will play the angel by name Chitrangadha who is the ‘Charitravaan’ putli. When contacted, Nikunj confirmed the news stating, “Yes, I am shooting for Singhasan Battisi from today. I am very excited as this is the first time I am going to be part of a mythological series. I am looking forward to wearing all the jewels, as I have never ever been decked in so much of jewellery before (smiles).” As we know, Aditi Sajwan and Navina Bole will be playing two other putlis in this unique mythological cum historical cum fantasy based show produced by Dheeraj Kumar’s Creative Eye.
