Who can forget Arvind Swamy who charmed all the way into the audiences’ hearts with his articulate portrayal in the ‘90s films Roja, Sapney and Bombay. So much did he impress his fans that when he went on a long hiatus from Hindi film, they thought that the sweet looking actor would never be seen in a Bollywood film. But the actor who made a comeback this year with Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film Kadal, has signed a Bejoy Nambiar movie. Without getting into any detail the excited actor in a statement said, “This is a straight (out-and-out) Hindi movie (his earlier films were all dubbed). An official announcement will be made by Bejoy Nambiar soon.” Arvind Swamy fans out there would be in for a surprise to know that Swamy played an elderly character Father Sam Fernando in Kadal. So, we can summarise of the kind of role he might be play in Nambiar’s venture. Incidentally, Swamy has played soft roles starting from Priyadarshan’s Saat Rang Ke Sapne with Juhi Chawla, Roja with Madhoo, Sapney with Kajol and Bombay with Manisha Koirala.
