MUMBAI: As the Covid-19 cases are on the rise again, many celebrities have been entrapped by the deadly virus. Recently, celebrities like Kartik Aaryan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Katrina Kaif, Vir Das had tested positive for Covid-19 and now, actress Vedhika has tested positive too.

Vedhika hails from South and has been part of many films in different languages and announced on Monday that she tested positive for Covid-19. She said this news on her Twitter handle and also mentioned that she has been having a high fever. Vedhika also mentioned the people to mask-up.

Sharing this news, Vedhika captioned her note saying, “Who all are going to mask up? Especially for the sake of the elderly people around and those with comorbidities.” Vedhika further wrote a note and she said, “Hi everyone! Unfortunately Im down with Covid for the first time. Not all people face mild symptoms. I have had a high fever which has been coming n going for a couple of days now. Please don’t underestimate the symptoms, not worth being sick with terrible body aches and high fever. (Over 103F). Also please don’t believe that if you have contracted it once then you will not get reinfected again. I know ppl who have got reinfected within a month to couple months. So pls don’t delude yourself. It’s better to be safe than sorry. MASK UP even if you are meeting one person or 100 people for you and your loved ones’ sake. I’m better today, I’ll be fine soon. Much Love. Stay Safe.”

Vedhika is a well-known star in the South and she shot to fame with her performance of Angamma in Bala’s National Award-winning period film Paradesi and she earned critical acclaim and awards for the same. She has also been part of The Body, a Bollywood film that starred Rishi Kapoor, Emraan Hashmi and Sobhita Dhulipala.

With the hike in Corona cases, it is better that we all voluntarily start taking necessary precautions for all our benefits and fight the virus with all our might. We wish the actress a speedy recovery.
