Maitree is someone who can do anything for Nandini and as Nandini jumps into a lake and struggles, Maitree risks her own life to save her friend. We see how Maitree’s mother is also so sure of their bond.

The show is a reflection of true friendship and childhood bonds between two friends living in the city of Prayagraj. Their mothers feel that their friendship will continue after marriage but the two are sure to be best friends even if they settle down.

The promo of the show tells us that the serial is going to be about two best friends who are soul-sisters and have lived the major part of their lives together as friends and nothing could break their friendship. Maitree is someone who can do anything for Nandini.

Actress Shrenu Parikh, who is known for her roles in 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?' and 'Ishqbaaaz', is all set to play the titular role in the new show 'Maitree'.

Parikh landed her first television lead role in the Colors TV series Havan. She then starred opposite Gaurav Khanna in Byaah Hamari Bahoo Ka, which aired on Sony TV.

Zee TV is coming up with a sequel to the show titled Punar Vivaah, which will be launched in a couple of months. The show is bankrolled by Sunshine Productions and will be called Maitree. Here is a cast revelation of the show.
