Chhavi Pandey, who hails from Patna, made her television debut with India’s Got Talent (Colors) in its Season 1 and enthralled the audience with her singing talent.

Currently we see her playing a chirpy, bubbly and tomboyish character in Ek Boond Ishq (BBC Worldwide) on Life OK.
The singer turned actress goes down the memory lane as she talks of the highs and lows in her career.

Said Chhavi, “As a debutant in India’s got Talent, it was Sonali Bendre who recognised my talent and pushed me to take up acting. After making some efforts, I was offered Sajda Karu Tere Pyaar Mein, a Star Plus show but due to some personal issues I could not take it up. However, I do not regret not doing the show as it did not perform well. On the contrary I looked for more opportunities with the thought that God had something better in store for me.”

“I was later offered Teri Meri Love Stories (Star Plus) opposite Karan Wahi, a very good looking actor and a down-to-earth person. I enjoyed working for that show all the more as I got to sing songs in the show too. And now finally I am shooting for Ek Boond… essaying the character of Taara and I love every bit of my character,” she added.

Commenting on how relatable Chhavi is to the character of Taara, she stated, “While Taara is a bold yet sweet, naughty and the 'Bhai of Bhopal’, I am a very soft spoken person and pretty girlish. The only thing similar between the two of us is that both of us stand up against anything which is wrong.”

Drawing inspiration from parallel leads Viraf Phiroz Patel and Vishwajeet Pradhan in terms of dedication and professionalism, the charming actress, in spite of being a fresher in the industry, does not feel a bit insecure.

“The industry is full of potential people coming in every day but I feel just by possessing good looks an actor cannot grow in the industry. One must have good acting skills also to survive in the industry. There is no dearth of talent and competition, but with people appreciating my work I don’t feel the need to be insecure,” Chhavi added.

When asked about the kind of roles she would like to play, the beautiful lady said that she plans to do films as she mentioned, “I want to take up films soon and do the kind of work Vidya Balan and Konkana Sen take up.”

We wish you all the best, Chhavi.
