When the good looking Rahul Sharma decided to sign the show Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi, little did he know that it’s going to be a very new start for him. The serial by Shashi Sumeet Productions Pvt Ltd on Sony PAL has Rahul in a very different avatar from his earlier project and the difference is surely bringing a high to the actor. “As an actor everyone wants to try something different and I feel lucky to have got a project that is different not just in characterization but also look wise. From the desi Akash in Ek Ghar Banaunga, I play this suave businessman in this show. It is so much fun to don different avatars,” shares the actor. Interestingly, not many people recognised the actor when he was shooting in Bhopal for the initial episodes. “People came up to me and told me that they have seen me on TV but couldn’t recall that it was in EGB. When I told them they were surprised and praised me for the changes I had brought in my looks.” “Not only them, some of my friends also couldn’t recognise me in the first glance and called me saying I was looking way younger in this show. Everybody seems to think that I am a new comer and I must say I am enjoying the phase completely. I am getting a new identity completely,” he further shared. Talking about the show, Rahul avers, “Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi is a beautiful show where every character’s relationship is highlighted. I feel blessed to be working with the team that is so talented. The show is our way of delivering a high end product to all our viewers and the positive response that we receive encourages us further.” And finally when asked how he likes being the only ‘guy’ among the gang of girls, the charming actor smiles, “Oh it’s super fun. We really have a great time chilling out and enjoying lunch together. It feels like a family with them and we have a really chilled out environment on the sets.” Way to go Rahul!!!
