Early this morning, the city woke up to the news of the lead actress of Pavitra Bandhan being subjected to molestation while filming for a scene for her Doordarshan show. The actress alleged that a male actor named Zakir Khan misbehaved with her and brushed his hands against her chest. The girl warned and shouted at him, but seeing his uncaring nature and his refusal to apologise the actress went ahead and filed a case against him in CINTAA. On one hand, the poor girl is fighting for herself, on the other the show’s lead actor Yash Tonk has found himself in a messy situation. Certain sections of the media have gone ahead and reported about him being the culprit, without checking facts. Now that surely is sad! Speaking on the same Yash shares, “It is so disappointing! Being in this industry for so long it actually feels terrible to be dragged in such allegations. People might think these things bring publicity but it actually does not. It’s a sad and frustrating time for me.” Shedding light on the incident he quips, “I wasn’t even on the sets. The actress had to shoot for a kidnapping scene where a couple of junior artists were involved. This incident happened then. I got to know she has complained about the matter and hope things get sorted for her soon.” So does she know about him getting hauled for the incident? “Yes, she knows about it but I don’t think neither of us is at a position to change it. She is currently shooting with me and that can clear the air about things being clear between us.” So is he planning to take any action against this? “What can I do now when the wrong has already been done. Nothing can change what has been done. But all I really want to tell people is that before you use name of people in such sensitive subjects do a cross check. The CINTAA authorities know about the matter and could have clarified but nobody bothered to check. These things can turn ugly and I really hope people realise it.” We agree, Yash!!!
