Jasvir Kaur aka Pavitra of Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan is all set to enter films. The bubbly actress is making a debut in a Malayalam movie with super star Mamooty. She has also bagged a cameo in a Bollywood venture.

??€?“I have done one song in a Malayalam film with Mamooty. It was a great experience working with him,??€Â? says Jasvir.

Elaborating on her experience she says, ??€?“It was the first time that I am working in the south. The shooting was a bit difficult because of the language. I had to learn each and every line of the song but on the whole it was good. Dancing with the number one Malayali star made me excited and nervous.??€Â?

Talking about Mamooty she says, ??€?“He is very reserved but a sweet person. Mamooty was a thorough professional and very comfortable to work with. He helped me with the language also.??€Â?

Jasvir continues, ??€?“It??€â„?s just like Om Shanti Om. Mamooty is playing himself in the film and I have a small dance sequence.??€Â?

Besides the movie and television she has a Bollywood film in her kitty. ??€?“I??€â„?m doing a cameo in the film Jhoom, a dance based film by Shweta Subhas. It is a story of five people and their struggle to reach the top. They want to be recognized in the world of dance and music. We have new faces on the block with Onjolee Noir (of Pooja Bhatt??€â„?s Holiday fame).

Talking about her role in Jhoom, Jasvir says, ??€?“I play a younger sister to Mini (one of the leads) in the movie. I can??€â„?t reveal much, let??€â„?s wait and watch it.??€Â?

Isn??€t it a big risk to debut in Bollywood with newcomers and that too with a cameo?

??€?“I don??€â„?t mind playing a small role till I get a proper role. There is risk in everything. It??€â„?s just that you should know the right moves. Another reason for taking up this film was that my family can watch this film. As I??€â„?m very particular about my clothes and character it is essential for me to do the right kind of films,??€Â? she concludes.

All we can say is that dancing with the legendary Mamooty can never be a wrong move.
