Though Life OK’s Savitri has completed 100 episodes today (4 July 2013), a source says that they have little time to celebrate as the cast and crew are extremely busy as the shooting for the scenes which delve a thousand years into the past commences from this very day. Indeed it is hard work which is crucial in making the serial a success. Krip Suri who plays Rahukaal on the series told us, “I feel happy and nice that we have completed a milestone of a 100 episodes. Costume dramas, fantasy shows, mythologicals and historicals are doing very well on television as viewers are getting fed up of saas bahu sagas involving kitchen politics etc. A sizeable proportion of the audience are preferring shows like Maharana Pratap, Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev, Jodha Akbar and Savitri instead.” Yash Pandit who would play Satya on the series worked in it till yesterday. He told us, “I am very excited and happy that we have completed 100 episodes. Though I am no more a part of it, I hope it’s a successful and long running show. The story has been presented very well.” Salil Ankola who plays the father of Princess Damayanti is also happy with this achievement. He elaborated, “It is indeed a great feeling. I am glad that the serial is going back into the past as it will add to it a nice element of the yesteryears which I feel will be a welcome change for the viewers.” We wish this innovative fantasy show all the best!!!
