May the best man win!

Actors are the most envied species around for not just the money they rake in but the amount of popularity they get. With television getting bigger and better the actors are nothing short of being demi-gods for every household possible. As the count down for the Indian Telly Awards begins we spoke to some of the nominees of the Best Actor (male) category and get their reactions for the same.

Getting nominated is fine as its one kind of appreciation for the actors and beyond that whether I make it as the winner or not is immaterial. I give my best shot and work hard every day so if my family and production house is happy with my work I am more than satisfied. I've had a fantastic experience so far in Ek Ladki Anjani Si and the show is my baby and has given me immense creative satisfaction from day one. Awards mean a lot to me and it's not just a reward for the hard work done thorough out the year but it's also means a pat on my back. It's been my first show and it's a brilliant role and I couldn't have asked for more with getting appreciations for the role. I don't think I should get an award as last year I've got my fair share of critical acclaim and this year the current shows should get the deserving awards. I feel the deserving man should win the award and for me awards are moments when the entire television industry comes together and it's a re-union of sorts. It's that time of the year when ones work gets appreciated and I believe there should be healthy competition between the actors as every one works hard in their own way and expect appreciation in return. For me Kumkum has given me a life and made me what I am so far.
