Funny, outrageous, mocking and over the top…giving entertainment a whole new dimension. That’s what you can call MTV India’s show aptly titled Time Out with Imam- Ek Insaan, Kai Pehchaan. The show is MTV’s way of introducing a twist in comedy-reality by bringing on board the most colourful personality on Indian television- Imam Siddique. The show that will premiere from 14 July is in association with Swipe ‘MTV Slash’ Fablet. Speaking on the launch of the show, Aditya Swamy, EVP and Business Head, MTV India said, “We are constantly looking to launch new and innovative formats. There is no one like Imam who can give the people an out-of-box entertainment. Imam, who had caught the fancy of the entire country is now back with his very own show. Each episode will be a surprise for the viewers and is going to be a laugh riot.” The weekly show will have Imam donning different characters in every episode. It will take you through Imam’s daily life, his many moods and his move towards accomplishing that one goal in life- making it big in Bollywood. The thirteen part series will document Imam’s journey as he expresses his take on various high profile events that will be topical- cricket, films, TV, music and fashion; nothing will be spared by Imam. From reconnecting his old Bigg Boss frenemies to making a music video on his favourite city Mumbai and styling an IPL team, Imam will be seen doing it all. The show will boast of a continuous flow of celebrities acquainted with Imam who are sure to bring the best and worst out of him. Expressing delight of starring in his own show, Imam averred, “I am extremely happy that MTV has given me this opportunity to connect with my fans again. I enjoy reality shows as I don’t have to pretend to be someone else. Through this show, my fans will be able to see different facets of my personality and am sure that they will enjoy the show immensely and get to see the real ‘Me’.” The show will also be supported by an extensive 360 degree marketing campaign that would be as quirky as the show itself like from having Imam mask adorned rikshaw-walas in the city, to having Imam flash dances all over the country. The channel has also launched a new app, Imamograph, which will help fans say something bold and cheeky to anyone they want with a personalised message delivered by Imam himself. The series will also see real time radio integration in an episode for the first time in a show. Time Out with Imam- Ek Insaan, Kai Pehchaan will be a complete mix of entertainment and drama coupled with Imam’s legendary notorious frolics. And as they say, you can love him, you can hate him but you definitely can’t ignore him!!! Catch Imam every Sunday at 7 pm on MTV from 14 July (2013).
