Renuka Shahane, who is well known for her demure roles, recently shocked everyone when she performed Salsa on the famous Hindi song, Baar Baar Dekho with Aditya Raj Kapoor (Shammi Kapoor's son). This performance was for Ageless Dance show which was organized by Sandip Soparrkar in the honour of the world's oldest dancer Ms Tao Lynch. And the pair’s performance was loved by everyone present.
“Earlier, I was inhibited about my body, but thanks to Sony Entertainment’s Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, I realized that I actually enjoy dancing,” reveals Renuka. And she tells Tellychakkar.com that now she will continue dancing: “That’s the primary reason why I joined Sandip’s salsa classes. And once I complete all the levels, I would love to learn more forms of dance. I just love dancing.”
Talking about the show that took place on 10 January 2012, she says: “It was very exciting to do performance for such an occasion. And also it was the first time that I had worn such a dress,” the effervescent actress says of the typical salsa attire she wore. And just like her partner who dedicated his act to his late father, Renuka too dedicates this act to the late Bollywood actor. “Many people have grown up watching Shammiji and it was indeed an honour for me,” she gushes.
