Another elegant and beautiful TV star graced the position of Tellychakkar.com’s Guest Editor. Saumya Tandon, who was last seen hosting Zee TV’s dance reality show, Dance India Dance season 3, visited the TC office to lead the team.
She looked as gorgeous as she does on television. In a t?te-?-t?te with the Tellychakkar team she said she misses the old TV series. “I just love the shows that aired in my school days. Nowadays, there are very few series that bear the same charm as their predecessors,” she said.
Apart from being a great host, Saumya is in fact, a poet: “I like to pen down my thoughts. I write poems but they do not have rhyming words.”
“Many producers now want to rope in newcomers who take a lot of time to learn acting. They do not want to spend money on learned actors, who bring in their own level of expertise. Take Sakshi Tanwar for instance; she was loved as Parvati Bhabhi. And now her performance as Priya Kapoor in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain is highly appreciated. Who could have thought that a homely Parvati could do a kissing scene? But she did it and how.”
