The wait is finally over for Shiju Kataria of 'Kashmakash Zindagi Ki' and 'Behenein' fame. The actress, who started her entertainment journey with Gulzaar Saab’s film Godaan starring Pankaj Kapur, Surekha Sikri and Vrajesh Hirjee, has won her first award this month. This came as a pleasant surprise to the actress, who picked up the Women’s Achievement Award at Aadhi Abadi Women’s Achievement Awards 2014. The award function usually honours women from all fields for their achievement in their respective fields and Shiju won an award for the same in the field of television. “I have been nominated at various award functions but this is my first ever win. I am extremely happy about it,” said an elated Shiju. Interestingly, the award has come at a time when she is trying her luck once again in films. “I am working on a couple of films. One of them is a Gujarati-Hindi adult comedy and another one is a Hindi film, starring biggies like Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi," she said. The award function was held in Delhi and it will be aired on Sahara One and DD soon. A hearty congratulations to the pretty lady!
