Yes, here is some good news for TV viewers. Good-looking Kavi Shastri, who was last seen in Sony Entertainment's Rishta.com, is getting hitched. The smart bod has decided to tie the knot with his long time girlfriend Sherryl Wiltshire in the third week of January, 2012. “Sherryl is an NRI from Australia. There she worked in the advertising industry and now she has shifted to Mumbai. Now she is working as full-time wedding planner,” informs Kavi exclusively to Tellychakkar.com. Wedding planner…hmmm, so you won’t have to worry about tents and marigolds in the marriage ceremony. “Hey man (he has a British accent) things are all crazy. Sherryl and I are up for a tough time arranging everything in Mumbai,” says Kavi, heaving a deep sigh. Furthermore, Kavi – an NRI from London – went on a flashback mode and narrated how he proposed to Sherryl. He met his lady love in Australia and after chasing her for almost a year, he garnered guts to ask her out. Finally, after eight months of dating, Kavi asked Sherryl for her hand in real filmy style in Mumbai. “We were at the Mount Mary Church (Bandra, Mumbai) and the air was fresh and pleasant. Below the statue of Mount Mary, I went down on my knees and proposed to her.” he reveals. Oh, how romantic Kavi. Superb. Currently, Kavi is selecting the theme of his wedding which is going to be a double faith ceremony. On the D-day, a formal church ceremony in St. Annes High School, Bandra (Sherryl is a Christian) will be followed by a Hindu ceremony and a quiet private dinner. Kavi (whose family is settled in London) and Sherryl (whose family is settled in Australia) had to convince their parents on the marriage and later everyone agreed to have two different styles of wedding. “It made our parents happy and so we went for it. The entire function from mehendi, sangeet to the wedding will be a week’s affair. Furthermore, my great friends and members of the Bombay Rockers, a Danish/Indian band, will be flying down especially for my marriage in order to perform” So who else from the TV industry will be seen in the wedding? “Not many but yes, Karan Tacker is a good friend and he will join the ceremony, if not busy. Veer Das – of Delhi Belly fame – will be the best man and the ring bearer.” Talking further on the wedding preparations; Kavi went on to share, “My mom – who has flown in from London – and Sherryl are shopping every day. We have not yet decided about the dresses but I am thinking to rope in my tailor who used to design my clothes for Rishta.com. We are currently deciding on the themes of the marriage, may be yellow and white or red and white. We are basically trying to keep it traditional.” From the plans it is sure that it is going to be one big fat Indian wedding. But any worries before the D-day. “Oh, the only thing I am worried about is the fat payments I have to make after the wedding,” laughs Kavi. But the love-struck hunk signs off with a sweet note. “Sherryl is my love and I am very excited to live my life with her. She shares everything with me. Even if she is out shopping and sees something that I might like, she texts me. And when it comes to making big decisions, we think on identical lines.
