When I served nimbu pani to Urvashi Dholakia

I was a spot boy for the immensely popular sit-com Dekh Bhai Dekh. I was in charge of looking after Farida Jalal, Navin Nischol, Shekhar Suman and Vishal Singh. I used to do most of their jobs like serving them food, getting water, etc.

A page from the personal diary of Manish Goel Very few people know that I started my career in television as a spot boy. I was a spot boy for the immensely popular sit-com Dekh Bhai Dekh. I was in charge of looking after Farida Jalal, Navin Nischol, Shekhar Suman and Vishal Singh. I used to do most of their jobs like serving them food, getting water, etc. I remember once I was working on the sets of a show starring Urvashi Dholakia. She was in college then and she would come straight from college and I used to get nimbu pani for her all the time. God was really gracious and I was cast in Mehndi Tere Naam Ki with her. When I met Urvashi on the sets I asked her if she remembered the guy who always brought her nimbu pani. She couldn't remember me but had tears in her eyes. From there on we shared very good chemistry and also went on to do Kasauti Zindagi Kay together. The point is I have no complaints in life, everything that comes your way happens for a purpose. When you experience failures, it just gives you more time to work on yourself and polish your skills. These days as I am not doing much on-screen I am working hard on looking fitter and younger.
