When Inspector Kavi speaks, the language he uses makes people laugh - Aamir Dalvi

Aamir Dalvi
When we ask TV actors how they prepared for the role, many of them tell us, “In television you simply don’t get any time to prepare.” Actor Aamir Dalvi who plays Senior Inspector Kavi on Life OK’s Hum Ne Li Hai... Shapath (Fireworks Productions) feels that those who don’t need to prepare are God gifted actors. He prepared to slip into the role of this inspector who was once a roadside tapori cop. He picked up the tone of a cop by observing the likes of them. Instead of sporting a fake moustache he grew one so that he could look like a typical cop. “I have the moustache for almost a year now,” he says. The best thing he likes about the character he plays is his sense of humour. “When Inspector Kavi speaks, the language he uses makes people laugh.” He is looking forward to the upcoming super cops vs super villains episodes which is likely to continue for a month or two. “These episodes will appeal to all, especially to the kids. Maybe we will not be able to have the technical brilliance of the Western super hero movies as we don’t have such a great budget but it will be enjoyable for the viewers nevertheless.” Why does he think that CID from the same production house is far ahead in TRPs? “CID has been on for a much longer time. Sony TV on which it is aired has been in existence for many years. Life OK is a far younger channel and our show has been running for just about a year and a half.” When this handsome actor isn’t acting he dabbles in photography and rides his Dirt Bike. Keep watching this space as we will continue to update you on both the show and the actor.
